Director of Residential Programs
The Director of Residential Programs will oversee operations of 2 group home facilities located on the same street. Director of Residential Programs will coordinate and provide an oversight of programming, facilities, staff and youth. Provide supervision of and training to Supervising Youth Care Workers and Youth Care Workers and staff while being a job coach. Be a self-starter and have critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Reports to and communicates with CEO/Administrator of Quality Care Residential Homes. Coordinate with Human Resources in hiring & training process of newly hired Supervisors & Youth Care Workers. Making a positive difference in the lives of youth day by day!



Requirements

Qualifications
Must have 3 years of experience in a Supervisory role or position. Bachelor’s degree is required in Social Work or related fields (e.g., psychology, human services, management, etc.). LSW is required. Master’s Degree preferred. Prefer to have at least one year of full-time equivalent paid experience with youth/adolescents. Reliable transportation to do site visits to facilities. In good health, physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of performing assigned tasks.

  • Ability to communicate with youth and knowledge or children's rights.

  • Understand budgeting
  • Understanding of the overall job as a Supervisor and Youth Care Worker.
  • Ability to manage clinical staff, supervisors and monitor supervision of youth care worker staff

Responsibilities

  • Availability in-person over 8 hours daily and weekend on-call availability as needed
  • Manage supervisors and youth care workers, ensure policies, procedures and mission followed by staff
  • Response to crisis on shifts by supervisors
  • Liaison with local schools and community partners
  • Assist intake new youth into facilities
  • Manage general budget for facilities
  • Purchase order requests for facility supplies
  • Perform staff evaluations in collaboration with supervisors
  • Scheduling staff for shifts in coordination with Supervisors
  • Manage daily functions and operations of the facilities
  • Assists with coordination and development of policies in the facilities
  • Coordinate Service Plan review meetings.
  • Assist the supervision and monitoring of staff working with prescribed medications.
  • Ensure facilities are in line with state of Ohio licensing standards 
  • Coordinate recreation schedules and other schedules
  • Performance Quality Improvement and Assurance
  • Training to new staff/supervisors on daily policies and operations
  • And any other duties requested by CEO.
